Cillian Murphy’s Irish Cheddar Potato Cakes

  • 2 cups mashed potatoes
  • 1 cup shredded Irish cheddar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Butter or oil for pan-frying

Stir mashed potatoes, cheddar, egg, flour, and green onions in a bowl. Season lightly. Shape into small patties and chill for 10 minutes so they hold together. Warm a skillet with a thin layer of butter or oil and cook each patty until golden on both sides. Serve warm as a snack or side.
